The Perfect Therapy Pads use a water-based heating and cooling system to help reduce pain, eliminate joint stiffness, and speed up post surgical recovery.  Application of moist heat or cold therapies have been found to be much more effective than other dry heating and cooling methods.

The water inside the Perfect Therapy Pads flows through tubes that are embedded inside the pad. These tubes are connected to an advanced micro processing temperature controller that heats or cools the water to your individual and ideal sleep temperature. The temperature of the water in the Perfect Therapy Pads ranges from 46 degrees Fahrenheit (8 Celsius) to 118 degrees Fahrenheit (48 Celsius) and can be adjusted with your remote control or directly on the controller. As a general rule of thumb, use cold therapy for acute injuries or pain, along with inflammation and swelling. Use heat for muscle pain or stiffness.

Heat dilates the blood vessels, stimulates blood circulation, and reduces muscle spasms. In addition, heat alters the sensation of pain.

Conversely, cold pads reduce swelling by constricting blood vessels. Cold therapy is also known as cryotherapy. It works by reducing blood flow to a particular area, which can significantly reduce inflammation and swelling that causes pain, especially around a joint or a tendon. It can temporarily reduce nerve activity, which can also relieve pain.
